2016
So. 2016. It's here and it's taken me by surprise as I was just getting into the swing of 2015. I am however excited to begin a new year with the same gusto I ended last year with. So inspired by the latest blog by Clemmie at Mother Of All Lists (you can check that one out here:http://motherofalllists.com/2015/12/29/my-new-years-resolutions/ ) here are my achievable and I hope realistic resolutions for this year.
-
Adventure more. I love our family outings to cities and museums, they are always a pleasure and they always make us happy.
-
Keep up to date with accounts. Boring but necessary.
-
Colouring books. I have more plans for these, and I'm excited.
-
Take more pictures of the boys and make photo books. I'm terrified that Facebook will self destruct one day and I will lose every memory I've ever had.
-
Learn more. I want to attend more workshops and learn a new skill to help me help my clients.
-
Be a better girlfriend. At the moment I'm a bit grumpy, a bit boring and a bit 'yeah I'll watch a film with you'....*scrolls through Instagram*
-
Get divorced.
-
Spend more time on myself. I know the benefits of self care, I bang on about it all the time, I just find I have no time to do it myself. This year is all about me. (After I've finished looking after everyone else)
-
Enrol on more courses at Whitespace. Sound baths, mindfulness, meditation...yoga retreat in Goa....yeah right!
-
Turn 30. Fuck.
-
Drink more water. I don't drink enough, and I should.
-
Eat less meat.
-
Continue to develop my business and to pour every ounce of love I have into it.
-
To amend my contracts so I'm not losing out.
-
To visit and stay with friends more. York, London...Milwaukee maybe?
-
Be less frustrated if plans change. Plans change, I need to get over it.
-
To be less 'phoney' during the day. It's really hard to run a business on your own, a lot of stuff can wait until I'm free in the evenings. Firm boundaries.
-
Host more dinner parties for friends. Themed ones.
-
Start saving for a Sphynx cat.
-
Eat cleaner. Boring resolution but I feel I should write it down.
-
Be less passive aggressive with Brad, he doesn't get hints. Honesty is the best policy.
-
Swim more.
-
Stop swearing. Scrap that, that's a shit idea.
-
Stop swearing when the kids are around.
-
Love more. Everyone, everywhere and everything. You can't have too much love.
